Maras-Moray & Salineras tour is positioned at an altitude of 3,500 masl. It has two important places to visit: one representing the great handling capacity and experimentation of the land and plant products possessed by the Incas in their time and the second: some salt mines, located at an altitude of 3,200 masl. It is made of about 3,000 small wells with an annual output of 2,000 tons of salt which are managed by the same people of Maras and Pichingoto. You will be able to appreciate the manufacture of various types of salts and their multiple uses, whether medicinal or just of consumption, something very incredible because it is being transmitted from the Inca period, then we’ll move to the city of Urubamba called also “Pearl of Vilcanota “, this city stands out for its beautiful setting and its exquisite climate, located at the very heart of the Sacred Valley, at the foot of Chicon and Pumahuanca snow. It is located 78 km from Cusco. Urubamba has its origin and following meaning: “Pampa to a day’s journey”. Urubamba was also one of the main agricultural centers of the Inca Empire.
