Huch’uy Qosqo or Little Cusco ¡s an archaeological complex located 3 km south of Calca, ¡n the high part of the Sacllo community. The place ¡s more than 500 meters over the Vilcanota River and has one of the best views of the valley and of the Pitusiray Mountain, A series of terraces are still preserved and also a building of three floors, one of the few that at this altitude have been maintained since Inca times. There are several ways to arrive here. One is by land, taking the deviation at km 47, that goes up ¡n a very steep path up to a mirador and from there you have to walk half an hour in the middle of beautiful surroundings. In this place, there ¡s a lodge but we have not been able to find any information about it. Another way is by walking from Calca, it will take time, according to the physical state of the traveler, between two and three hours, something that must be done with a guide and very early in the morning because of the heat. The third way ¡s very attractive: you leave the city of Cusco by walking the Sacsayhuamán circuit and there you take the muleteer path that the tourist guide indicates (because this route must be done with a professional guide.) The walk takes more or less half-a-day, this way you can then go down to the valley and stay there or return to Cusco by road. In the complex itself there are tourist guides from the Ministry of Culture.
